BASELIT ("we," "our," or "us") operates the BASELIT mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. Please read this policy carefully. By using BASELIT, you consent to the practices described herein.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your display name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from those providers.

Profile & Health Information: You may voluntarily provide body measurements (height, weight, chest, waist, hips, arms, thighs, neck), body fat percentage, age, gender, body type, fitness goals, workout preferences, health conditions, and medication information (including GLP-1 usage). This data is used solely to personalize your fitness and nutrition experience.

Workout & Nutrition Data: Workout logs (exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration), food scan photos and AI-generated nutritional analysis results, meal logs, and weekly check-in data including progress photos.

Photos: Food photos submitted for AI nutritional analysis, progress photos from weekly check-ins, and optional profile photos. All photos are stored securely and are only accessible to you unless you choose to share them through community features.

Apple Health Data: If you connect Apple Health, we may read step counts, heart rate, active energy burned, and workout data. In compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines, we do not sell or share HealthKit data with third parties or use it for advertising. This data is used solely to enhance your fitness tracking within the App.

Usage Data: We collect general usage analytics (screens visited, features used, session duration) and crash reports to improve app stability and user experience. This data is collected in aggregate form.

Purchase Information: All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive subscription status confirmation (active, expired, trial) but do not store payment card details or financial account information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, personalize, and improve the App and its features
• Generate body-type-specific workout recommendations
• Analyze food photos using AI for nutritional estimates (calories, protein, carbs, fat)
• Track your fitness progress over time with charts and trends
• Display community content you choose to share
• Manage your account and subscription status
• Send workout reminders and check-in notifications (with your permission)
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
• Comply with legal obligations

3. AI-Powered Food Analysis

When you use the food scanner feature, your meal photo is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for nutritional analysis. Anthropic processes images per their data usage policies and does not use API submissions to train their models. We do not send any personally identifiable information with the photo — only the image itself is transmitted for analysis. The AI-generated nutritional estimates are approximate and should not replace professional dietary advice.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Community Features: Content you voluntarily post (check-in photos, workout achievements) is visible to other BASELIT users. You control what you share, and you can delete shared content at any time.
• Service Providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication, and Anthropic for AI-powered food analysis. These providers process data under strict contractual obligations and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with encrypted database storage, secure authentication (including OAuth), and row-level security policies that ensure users can only access their own data. Photos are stored in secure cloud storage with access-controlled URLs. We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure token handling, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with the App's services. Upon account deletion (requested via email to hello@baselitapp.com), your personal data — including profile information, workout logs, meal scans, and photos — will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & Export: You can view all your data within the App at any time.
• Correction: Update your profile information, measurements, and preferences through the App's edit profile feature.
• Deletion: Request complete account and data deletion by emailing hello@baselitapp.com.
• Notifications: Disable push notifications through your device's settings at any time.
• Apple Health: Disconnect Apple Health integration through the App or your device's Health settings.
• Camera & Photos: Revoke camera or photo library access through your device's settings.
• Marketing: We do not send marketing emails. All communications are transactional (password resets, account confirmations).

8. Children's Privacy

BASELIT is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. 9. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as Apple Health, Google Sign-In). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you connect to.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries, subject to the safeguards described in this policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and through in-app notifications where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
